EUROPEAN WORLD OF BLUEGRASS

Sinds 1998 wordt jaarlijks rond
Hemelvaartsdag en Pinksteren
(mei/juni) de EWOB gehouden, een
maand vol bluegrass concerten en
festivals in heel Europa, met als
hoogtepunt het EWOB Festival in
Voorthuizen, Nederland. Vele tientallen  Europese bluegrass bands zijn in deze  periode actief en komen voor het EWOB  Festival naar Nederland.

Strictly Country en SCR Productions
waren de eerste jaren de
hoofdsponsors van het evenement
- inmiddels hebben we gelukkig
meer sponsers gevonden - terwijl
Rienk Janssen als bestuurslid van
de EBMA (European Bluegrass Music
Association) de EWOB-coordinator is.

  EUROPEAN WORLD OF BLUEGRASS

  Since 1998, the European World of
  Bluegrass event is held in May/June
  (in Europe a holiday period around
  Ascension Day and Whitsuntide).
  The EWOB features a month of
  bluegrass concerts and festivals all
  over Europe, highlighted by the EWOB
  Festival in Voorthuizen, in the
  Netherlands. Many dozens of European
  bluegrass bands are active during this
  period and traveling to the Netherlands
  for the EWOB Festival.

  Strictly Country and SCR Productions
  were the main sponsors of the event in
  the first years - we have been lucky
  in finding more sponsors in the
  meantime - and Rienk Janssen as
  board member of the EBMA (European       Bluegrass Music Association) is the EWOB       coordinator.
